This online study will take about 5 minutes. If you decide to participate in this study, you will communicate with other participants by sending simple signals, and responding to the signals you receive from them.
This study is part of research being conducted by researchers at Northeastern University to understand how communicate with each other. You must be at least 18 years old to participate. Your participation in the study is voluntary, you may decline to answer any or all questions, and you can stop at any time. The study results are handled in a confidential and anonymous way. We do not collect any person identifying information. No one will know if you took part in this study and no one, including the researcher, will know what your answers are.
There are no foreseeable risks or discomforts to you for taking part in this study. There are no direct benefits to you for participating in the study. However, your answers may help us to learn more about human communication.
You will be paid for your participation. You will receive a certain $0.50 base payment plus a possible bonus of up to $2, depending on your answers for a possible total compensation of $2.50.
