Connecting to Congress is an independent, non-partisan research initiative led by the Ohio State University. Our mission is to help elected officials hear from a representative cross-section of their constituents, not just from the loudest voices. We are facilitating online deliberative town halls on COVID-19 with Members of Congress around the country, to help them understand the priorities and concerns of their constituents. In Northeast Ohio, Congressmen Tim Ryan (D, OH-13) and David Joyce (R, OH-14) are participating in an online bipartisan town hall Wednesday, July 29 at 6 pm ET because they are eager to hear the considered opinion of their constituents on COVID-19.
Constituents from both districts are invited to attend, but must register in order to receive the link to the online event. Participants also have the chance to complete a survey to let the Congressmen know more of their views about the pandemic and policies related to it, but do not have to take the survey in order to attend the event.
