World Lab Enrollment Survey

Q. What does this study involve?
A. A 15 minute intake survey.
First you will review a detailed informed consent statement that provides more information about the researchers, funding, and your rights and protections as a participant. If you have any questions please ask (WorldLab@Gallup.com). Once you consent, you begin a survey that will take you about 15 minutes to complete. After you complete, watch your email for experiment sign up opportunities. There will be multiple opportunities during this Winter research cycle and we hope you can participate.

Q. Why should I participate?:
A. To play Boom Town!:
This enrollment survey enables you to participate in the Boom Town Experiment. The purpose of Boom Town is to better understand how individuals complete tasks and games. You will be asked to participate in an online game with other people. During the game you will be given a goal. How well you do in the game does not affect your ability to continue in the experiment, however, we would like you to try your best and work with other players when or if you need to. The entire experiment will run about 2 months. Every time you complete a game, you will be asked if you want to participate in a future game, you are under no obligation to play multiple times. Each game will take about 30 minutes to complete and no individual game will exceed 45 minutes in length.

Q. Who should I contact with questions?
A. Gallup's World Lab Support - WorldLab@Gallup.com:
They will answer any questions about World Lab, this survey, and upcoming experiments.
