Click the phone to call them.

  • You have time for 8 phone calls each day — one call per lead.
  • On each call, you can ask only one question. Choose wisely.
  • Mike, your co-worker, can also follow leads, saving you a call.
  • Leads send you documents, providing evidence for your case.

Documents arrive on the fax machine in the mailroom.

  • Carry one document at a time on top of your notebook.
  • You can move one document at a time to other places, such as:
    • the fax machine
    • the evidence folder
    • the shredder
  • Documents may create new leads. Check your Leads page when you review a new document!

Put documents with conjectures in the evidence folder.

  • To file a document, click the evidence folder while you are holding the document.
  • You can get documents back from the evidence folder by clicking on the folder.
  • Documents with useful evidence have conjectures at the bottom.
  • Choose a conjecture by clicking its radio button. You can change it later.

Complete and file the final report at the end of the day.

  • Place all evidence and remove other documents from the folder before selecting final report.
  • You can change conjectures and deductions and review documents within the final report.
  • Your success as an investigator depends on:
    • how many pieces of evidence you gather, (at least 6)
    • removing irrelevant documents from the folder,
    • the accuracy of your deductions and conjectures.
